About the Instructor
Georgina Bustelo
B.A. in Piano - M.M. in Piano Performance

I grew up in Argentina and began to study piano in an artistic school which had a great and complete musical curriculum. My high-school years were full of music and stablished a perfect environment for developing my passion for music. My piano studies naturally continue their path to university level and I got a bachelor diploma in piano performance with honors under the instruction of Professor Roberto Urbay at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo. During my undergraduate studies I was finalist at the XII International Piano competition “Claudio Arrau” in Chile, where I was awarded with a ‘Mention of Honor’ and ‘The Best Interpretation of the Compulsory Masterpiece’. Later I won a student competition to perform with orchestra playing the Ravel Piano concerto in G Major.
I continued my graduate studies with Dr. Kevin Robert Orr in US, where I obtained a Master in Music (Major: Piano Performance) at the University of Florida. I was awarded with an “Outstanding Academic Achievement” mention and participated in “Valtidone International Music Festival” in Italy and in several master classes given by internationally recognized professors.
After my graduation in UF, my husband got a job in The Netherlands and we moved and lived there for six years. During that period I had a successful private Piano Studio with a wonderful group of students from different ages and levels.
Another job opportunity for my husband at the University of Idaho took us to Moscow, where I have settled my new private Piano Studio.
My recitals include solo and chamber music performances with repertoire spans from the early Baroque to the present.
My professional experience includes teaching piano in artistic schools, in UF piano lab to undergraduate students as part of my assistantship, and in my Piano Studio in The Netherlands. I also worked as accompanist of choirs, orchestras and solo instruments. Currently I am the piano accompanist from a choir at Emmanuel Lutheran Church conducted by Janet McIntosh.
